II.Solve for the following.

 1.Of the 500 students who joined the camping last year, 30% were graders and the  
     rest were high students.  How many graders joined the camping?  How many high
     school students joined?





 2.Miss Chan decided to donate 5% of  her annual salary to the Missions on Mission Sunday.  How much did she donate if she receives a salary of P30,000.00 a month?





 3.Michelle scored 100 marks out of a total of 125.  Give her score as a percent of the total marks.




 4.Miss Saw sold a total of 120 tickets for a play.  This was 5% of all the tickets sold.  How many tickets were sold?



5.The enrollment of a certain school increased from 3,200 to 3,800 this school year.  What % of last
     year’s enrollment is the increase in enrollment?






6.Maria  sold  15 tickets while Magdalene was able to sell  25.  What percent of the tickets was Maria
    able to sell?   Magdalene?







 7.Eirene bought a pair of shoes marked  P950.00.  She was given a discount of 20%.  How much did
     she pay for the pair of shoes?








8.The loss on the sale of  a cell phone is 5% of the buying price.  If the loss is P350.00, how much was
    the buying price?








9.An incentive of 10% of the gross sales is given to a salesman aside from his monthly pay.  If a salesman  received  P35,000.00 as an incentive pay, how much sales did he make?








10.The population  of our country increased from about 37,000,000 in 1970 to 75,000,000 in 1995.  Express the increase as a percent of the 1970 population to the nearest tenth of a percent.
