3. Rina made eighteen handkerchiefs.  She placed three in each box.    
How many boxes did she use?






II. Write a multiplication or division sentence for each word problem, then solve.

1. Elmer made 24 pencil holders.  He placed 4 pencil holders in each row.  How many rows were there?






2. Rico sold 6 papayas at P8.00 each.  How much did he get for the
papayas?






3. Mila read 20 pages for a book in 5 minutes.  How many pages did she
read in one minute?





4. Adora can earn P18.00 in 3 hours by selling flowers.  How much does
she earn in an hour?





5. Linda sold 9 oranges for P45.00.  How much was each orange?


III. Read and understand the problems carefully, then solve.

1. Mother brought home 12 apples.  Father brought home 12 apples too.
They want to put the apples equally in four bags.  How many apples will be placed in a bag?








2. Ninang came from the United States and gave me 4 shirts. Ninong
gave me 5 more shirts.  I want to put them equally in my 3 drawers.  How many shirts will I place in each drawer?








3. Math Club members donated 20 seedlings.  Science Club members
donated 10 more seedlings.  If a scout will get 2 seedlings each, how many scouts will have to plant?








4. Lola Carmen came home from the province.  She brought home 2
dozen eggs.  She wanted to give her 6 children equal share.  How many eggs will be given to each child?








5. Kuya collected 10 newspapers.  Ate collected 18 newspapers more than Kuya.  They would want to donate half of the newspapers to the Science Club members.  How many newspapers will be given to the club members?
